It has been raining intermittently for the past few days.
I am wearing tweed and tights.
Boots-including the ones that look like Muppet feet-have reappeared in shop windows.
The people who sell things in the pedestrian underpass I walk through on my way to work have replaced the sunglasses and tank tops on their refrigerator-boxes-turned-into-tables with umbrellas and hoodies. [But the change of seasons does not affect the demand for bunnies, apparently.]
My laundry takes more than a day to dry.
Stone fruit is becoming more expensive.

I guess it will be summer again in October. It happens every year. Rainy September, then sunny October...

Hi Rachel,
It's funny to see you stuck on this "dosadni" post. I'm sorry to have "ruffled" you before, I sincerely believed that you were open to some debate and discusssion (unlike the "unhappy" wife living in Belgrade"). I also believed that all middle-class Americans would be eager to participate in an open discussion and debate about anything, (but on the second thought, this was purely academic -- nothing to do with real life)and I guess I was wrong. Have fun discussing weather, and give my best to Castro, he looks a lot like my father.
cheers,
Milica

Whenever I see those muppet boots I think of you!
But you know, the thing is, when you wear those giant boots, it makes your legs look skinny!
That's the only good thing going for them I guess... :)

Um, just want to make sure it's clear that's not to say that _I_ wear them!

Yeah,
Why don't we all go and buy those muppet boots? It sure it's easier than making translations from a language that we don't really speak, or interpreting the culture we don't really understand, or spending some time (or rather "killing time") in a country with a history we know nothing about, so we can brag about it to anyone who would listen.
Cheers, to all of you from Starbucks land

Milica-
ouch!
I'm sorry if I gave you the impression that I'm not open to debate. That wasn't my intention...
