a very disappointed person is watching Tootsie right now

I have had a bad headache for the past few days - my fingers are crossed that it is finally gone.

Two days ago, I decided that all I was up for after work was watching a movie. As the British Council was already closed, I turned to my friendly neighborhood software pirater. After flipping through his discs for a bit, I settled on a Dustin Hoffman collection. It had a lot of movies that I hadn't seen and heard were pretty good, Kramer vs. Kramer, Rain Man, etc. I checked to make sure that there was a disc inside (yeah, I've purchased an empty case before. ) and that the number written on the disc matched the number on the case.

I took the disc home and made some popcorn, preparing to be distracted from the pain in my head. I popped in the disc, but there was no Dustin to be had. There was only pornography. From the titles and images of the movie posters (do such films have posters?), it appears to be the variety that features young women and animals, not my cup of tea.

And not a headache cure.

Ok -- pirate videos are rampant in BG. It's rather odd that you haven't posted a single blog about the rather clumsy US bombing of Belgrade and Serbia(and its results) which are still very obvious. I believe there's a bombed out ruin in the very street where American Embassy is. Also some hospitals, as well as civilian buildings in Serbia were hit and damaged. Several hundreds of CIVILIAN died too. Not to mention the Chinese Embassy building which was also hit (goes to show what an excellent INTELLIGENCE we have). Foodball holiganism and nationalism rather pale in comparison....It would be good to introduce some substance rather than trivia, Rachel...

If you want to read about more "substantive" aspects about Belgrade there are plenty of other places/blogs to do that. Rachel is under no obligation to pander to your desires on her personal blog.
    Take the whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-mobile somewhere else.

Oh so "Pixie wordly". From what I've read so far, "momdre" encourages serious topics and Rachel often comes close to tacklig those as well. By the way, why are you "anonimous"? Couldn't even conjure up a nick name?

    Carica,
Sounds like you've got it all figured out, why not write your own blog?

    Carica,

The 'momdre' character is my mother. As I know her in real life (and am quite fond of her), I often respond to her requests to write about certain things.

I don't feel the same obligation to people I've never met.

To echo Robert, it sounds like you have plenty of topics that you would like to see tackled in blog form. Maybe you should do it yourself.

    Rachel,
I know "momdre" is your mother. She's a very COOL lady. I haven't tried to "order" you to write about anything, it's just that I'm rather tired of CNN coverage.
To Robert -- I havent't "figured out" anything, except rather badly reported news and I'd appreciate a fresh view as Rachel's. I'm sorry if I somehow offended you. By the way I wish I could be there....
